What is FERPA?
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), also known as the Buckley Amendment, is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records (those records, files, documents, and other materials that contain information directly related to a student, and are maintained by an educational agency or institution or by any person acting for such agency or institution).
