Charitable Giving

From its earliest stage of planning in the early 1960s, community leaders have supported the University by providing a solid base for its present success and future growth. That community support continues today, as evidenced by continued strong giving to a vibrant Ã山ǿ¼é Foundation, and a solid reputation in the state legislature.

The Ã山ǿ¼é Foundation has awarded $47.6 million dollars in scholarships to bright and deserving Ã山ǿ¼é students since 1986 through scholarships established by University friends and alumni.

Bee Campus USA Affiliate

The Ã山ǿ¼é proudly participates in the Bee Campus USA program, an initiative by the Xerces Society aimed at fostering community efforts to protect native pollinators. These pollinators are vital to ecosystems, supporting plant reproduction and biodiversity. They include a range of species, such as birds, butterflies, beetles, moths, flies, and most notably, bees. Increasing native plant species helps boost native pollinator populations, enhancing the overall health of the Ã山ǿ¼é campus ecosystem.
